Hi, I finished chemo in November, my periods only stopped in October. On Saturday evening My lower back started giving me pain so I had some ibuprofen and paracetomol. I managed to fall asleep but was woken at midnight by horrendous pelvic pain which was coming and going like labour contractions. After pacing the floor for two hours they stopped and my OH diagnosed a trapped nerve that was obviously from my lower back ( he has no medical training!!!) All the next day I had no problems so I thought he was possibly right until 7pm yesterday evening when the pain started again, this time it felt like one contraction after another, there was no let up and my OH phoned the doctors who said they would phone back. 8pm hadn’t heard anything and couldn’t take it anymore so was about to set off for a&e when I started to bleed, with that the pain started to subside. This morning I have mild cramping and I’m feeling a bit silly that I was about to go to the hospital because of my period but I have had 3 natural births and the pain was equivalent. Has anyone else experienced this after chemo ??? Thanks Vicky xxx
