peripheral neuropathy

Going through breast cancer treatment Surgery

Hi, I had a mastectomy on 19th December, no pain after and all went well till seromas and infection which is now being cleared up, but now I have what I think is peripheral  neuropathy in my foot and leg the same side as the operation. I have all the symtoms and I wondered if anyone else here has suffered with this and what did you do about it.

I’m going to the doctors once I’ve made an appointment.  It started a couple of weeks ago, just pins and needles sometimes which I thought was due to my sciatica as that also is that leg.  

Any help is gratefully received

PS I’ve not been on any medications yet and I see they also can cause this so I’m worried it’s going to get much worse.

CarolWD - did you go to see your Dr about this and how did you get on?

You should be able to get capsicum cream from your GP. I have some and it works a bit.  I have the strong one and I can feel the heat from the chilli in it.  I hope it gets better for you.
