peripheral neuropathy

bumping this up for mary frod

This thread has been really helpful. I’m going to ask to be referred to a foot clinic when I see my GP next week. I’ve got numb little fingers which doesn’t bother me too much but very painful right foot. i’ve found thin soled shoes hurt while i’m walking so I’m going to look into getting innersoles. Wellies also not very good as they don’t support my foot. I’m, more annoyed about this as they are so easy to step into before taking my dogs out. Didn’t occur to me it might be from toxatere until I realised other women had similar problems.

I sympathise with you Kelley about writing. You may remember I posted else where that I’m also a teacher and one of my problems as I return to work is not being able to write very well or for very long. Luckily I don’t have marking but I do have to record lots of observations/comments about the children.
Take care

Hi Littlemiss

In the meantime look at the postings on sore feet in living with breast cancer.

THe first appt iwth the orthotists suggested getting cushioned sole shoes, (clarks active air, hotters and M and S were suggested)

Hope this helps. Get my new “sexy shoes” tomorrow.
