Hi there!
My partner has completed her active chemotherapy ( 4 EC and 12 taxol) and is now scheduled for surgery ( Lumpectomy) soon. The oncology team informed her yesterday that they will now be putting her on 3 weekly Phesgo injections for the next few months. She has cold capped throughout her chemo regimen. The Phesgo injections are hopefully just an in and out procedure every three weeks. We are not sure if cold capping can be done for Phesgo injections as well and if yes then for how long. The doctors keep dissuading us from using the cold cap but we know it has helped my partner so much in saving the hair follicles and hair regrowth has started a bit. It just instills more confidence despite the physical discomfort. Please guide if someone has any ideas or experience with this !
Phesgo does not cause hair loss so no need to cold cap once you have finished taxol. I cold capped thoughout my 16 EC taxol. I started Phesgo while doing taxol, then had phesgo on its own and my hair grew back quickly.
