Hi, I was diagnosed with her2 pos in December. I had a mastectomy, reconstruction and chemotherapy. All seemed to be going well. I then started phesgo injections. I had 3 injections but had to stop because it caused heartfailure. I do not know if the heart failure is treatable, it seems to be getting worse. Medication for my heart is making me feel really ill. Don’t know what the future holds and feel very alone. I find it difficult to find anyone else with a similar story
We are so sorry to hear this. It must be such a worrying time for you.
I would really recommend reaching out to our nurses. They can simply listen to your concerns or answer any questions to help ease your mind. Sometimes it can just be helpful to talk things through. You can reach them on our free helpline 0808 800 6000, and you can call them as many times as you want or need.
I truly hope you are able to get some answers soon, and that you are able to find comfort and support in the meantime.
We’re here for you,
Chloe
My Mum went into heart failure very suddenly after 13 phesgo doses. She was 80 at the time. She was quite poorly and was admitted to hospital. Long story short with new medication her heart function now is better than before she started phesgo. She is 84 and doing very well. I hope you feel better soon.
