Hi fellow sufferers
I was finally diagnosed 14 months with breast cancer after firstly being diagnosed with metastatic bone marrow cancer, I had no obvious signs of breast cancer all mammograms and scans came back clear but a lymph node biopsy came back positive.
I’m on Letrozole and Ribociclib which for the 1st 9 months I went along fairly fine but then the Ribociclib has caused me to develop Diverticulitis of which I’ve had 3 infections. Five months ago I was started on Zoledronic acid infusions every three months of which I’ve had two and from day one after I’ve had a constant ache in my pelvis and hips with the occasional shooting/stabbing pains they’ve given me co-codamol but that obviously isn’t working too well with my Diverticulitis paracetamol doesn’t help I’m thinking of trying acupuncture has anyone had a similar experience with Zoledronic acid? A recent CT scan has shown I now have a shadow in both my lungs my consultant believes it’s to do with the Ribociclib has anyone had anything similar it’s quite a worry! I have a MIR later in the week to check he hasn’t missed anything like metatastic bone cancer or crumbling bones and a follow up CT in September. Most of the time I’m a positive person and am trying to get on with my life and not let it get to me but I’m beginning to find it hard at 58 my mobility is being affected and my weight only seems to be going up and the breast cancer nurses and consultant won’t let me try to diet!

Dear Karen,

What a terrible time you have had, you been through so much and your only 58 life can sometimes be so cruel. I wish I could be more positive, unfortunately I can’t I would like you to know that I’m think of you, hopefully life will get better.

Please don’t worry about your weight, just take good care of yourself. I feel sure someone on the forum will have some good advice for you.

Wishing you health and happiness going forward.

With the biggest hugs Tili :rainbow::pray::rainbow:
