My original post got closed for some reason! I’m mad tbh! I have a genuine concern and I would appreciate some support!
Hi, I got diagnosed with a single fibroadenoma in my 20’s after having my first child. I’ve always been able to feel it and it’s been smooth and oval shaped and moveable when pressed. Suddenly at the age of 39 I can feel a small pea sized lump on top of it and possibly another lump on the edge of it (upper outter quadrant of left breast). I have a referral to the breast clinic next week but just wondering if after so many years this is normal for a sudden change? I should mention a few months ago I randomly had bleeding from the nipple that went away after a few days. I’m struggling to find information online about changes to fribroadenoma’s. Any advice greatly appreciated thank you.

Hi @mummyto5 , your previous post and this one are in the Ask the Nurses section of the forum , once the nurses reply they close the discussion . If you’d like to chat to people and get some support you would be better posting in other parts of the forum maybe in the Appointments and waiting for test results section the discussions there will remain open .Best of luck with your appointment next week.
Thank you so much for your reply. I was really quite frustrated when my post was just closed lol. I have now posted in the area you have suggested ![]()
Hi mummyto5
Thank you for your further post about the changes to the fibroadenoma that you have noticed.
We are sorry that you were upset that your previous post was closed. As @Jill1998 explained, posts in the Ask our Nurse area of the forum are automatically closed once they have been answered by a nurse, which was why your post was closed following Addie’s response. We do mention this in the footer of the post.
For continuing, or more information and support, you can also contact the nurses through the helpline or by completing this web submission form or you can email us directly on nurse@breastcancernow.org
As Addie mentioned Fibroadenomas are a common benign condition that are more common in women in their 20s and 30s. Occasionally they can change size and shape, but it is always important to go back to your GP to be assessed if you notice any new changes in your breasts such as a new lump or bleeding from the nipple. It sounds as though you have already done this and are awaiting an assessment at the breast clinic.
