On Tuesday, my port catheter went a funny colour like it was bruised (see the photo below). The chemo team’s never seen anything like it before. It disappeared after two days and I’ve had a linogram and ultrasounds to test the integrity of the line, but I was wondering if anyone’s ever had anything similar.
How long have you had your line? I noticed a much more faint bruise-like colour on my catheter a few weeks after it was installed, it wasn’t as dramatic so I didn’t get it looked at but it’s mostly faded now. Don’t have any answers, but I have a different issue where the incision didn’t heal properly so I’m also in the ‘We’ve never seen this before!’ club 
I’ve had it now for almost four months so it’s not new. Only two chemos to go, so don’t need it for much longer thankfully.

It’s annoying having to worry about something that’s supposed to be helping you
