Hello

I am taking part in the POSH study being run out of the cancer services department at Southampton University.

I’d encourage any of you with the BRCA1/2 mutation to try and take part. No one can tell me what the acronym stands for but the study is trying to find out how our (hereditary) cancers behave compared to the sporadic i.e. non-hereditary breast cancers.

POSH stands for ‘Prospective study of Outcomes in Sporadic versus Hereditary Breast Cancer”. There is more information on this study on the Breakthrough Breast Cancer site for further reading at www.breakthrough.org.uk
