Hi all i am new here so hello to all. I had a smx 2 weeks ago with DIEP reconstruction. Histology has shown both close margins (less than 1mm) and a positive margin. This is apparently very rare and there seem to be limited further treatment options. Surgeon has recommended Tamoxifen but we are waiting on tests to tell us the hormone receptor status of my DCIS. I am terrified and feel like i have a ticking timebomb inside me. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice.? Thanks.
