Hi my name is Caron, 17 months ago I had a lumpectomy for DCIS followed by 15 radiotherapy sessions. I was offered Tamoxifen but refused. I have recenlty had more mammogramms and the 12 rods i have in my breast only 2 can be seen, they have said there is something covering them. I have a surgical biopsy on Monday of this week 23rd May as the mass is too far back to do a biopsy with the mammogram machine, they said it is too far back and could puncture my lung or my chest wall? I am waiting now for my results and am terrified. they have gone through my initial scar after the lumpectomy and i have to say I am in a great deal of pain. Has anyone been here in the sme plae on the same journey as me and if so will you talk to me please.
