Possible 2nd recurrence in recon

Ive been having a few issues in my reconstruction since radiotherapy so yesterday I had an ultrasound scan. It showed fluid build up but also highlighted some more “ suspicious changes” in the older recon scar. The doc was reluctant to biopsy due to fluid and the implant. So they are discussing a plan in the MDT. I dont know whether this means they are pretty sure its more cancer or just because its complicated.

I was expecting it to be something like capsular contracture. It never crossed my mind they’d find something suspicious as im only 6 months past surgery. Im feeling pretty stupid because I didnt ask any questions and now im left wondering! The doc is ringing me after the MDT next week with a plan. Can’t believe Im back to waiting. Its the last thing I was expecting. Bit fed up to be honest☹️ xx

Goodness Susy not at all what you expect 6 months on. Honestly though if you had asked questions would they have given you any real answers? Probably not :heart:

Thankyou for your reply foxgem. Im just keeping everything crossed that its just a bit of a blip. Back to not sleeping and the exhaustion of waiting. Thanks for the love and strength it goes a long way knowing we have support at these times Xx
