Possible nerve pain?

Hi, 

I had a mastectomy a year ago and over the past couple of days I have had a slight pain which is sharpish and only lasts a few seconds and is on mastectomy side (left) and where I feel it is just under where the scar is… about an inch or so.    Yesterday I had it on and off all day and then today not at all until about 6pm… had it a few times but non in the last couple of hours.   Is it possible to get nerve pain after a year? Has anyone else had this.   Obviously if it carries on I will contact go.

Good morning Jayne,

This is a little worrying for you, breast pain after surgery is very common,  can go on for sometime,  however I think maybe call  your breast cancer nurse and have a little chat just to put your mind at rest. or the nurses on this site they are very caring and will point you in the right direction.
