Hello I’m going to be having a DIEP in a few weeks time just wondering what knickers are best afterwards. I know they need to be control ones but I sent for some and not sure if they’re right. Any tips much appreciated.
Hi. Have seen others talk about control pants but I was not guided to wear these after my diep flap 10 weeks ago. I had really fine lightweight ones which didn’t irritate my wounds.
On discharge I was given a binder to wear around my middle which was so uncomfortable and rubbed my hipbones so much. I eventually changed to some shapewear cycling shorts which they were happy for me to do.

I think i got mine off amazon they were super comfy and supportive! They didnt irritate me at all and they were in a pack of 5 x

Hi i was told to wear tight fitting underwear for first 6 weeks. I bought from primark control wear range. They were absolutely fine and did the job. Best wishes. X
Thank you Sandra I think I’m overthinking it and looking at some which look much too uncomfortable to wear before an operation never mind afterwards!!
