Yesterday I had an appointment with the surgeon who performed my lumpectomy and I have clear margins, so really happy about that!
They will have to operate again as they had problems getting to the marked lymph node (s). Sentinel one was cancer free but a biopsy in June found cancer in another one or two. Depending on what they find during surgery and the pathology results whilst I am under, will determine if they take 1 or 2 nodes or do a total clearance. I will then have radiotherapy about a month later.
Please note that I live in Spain, so procedures etc may be a little different

Great news about your clear margins, sorry you are having to face surgery again. I had my lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy on Monday, just waiting for the results now (and healing…).

So pleased to read you have a clear margin after your lumpectomy, so sorry they need to go in again with the lymph nodes, this seem to be happening I’m reading this quite a lot, fingers crossed for a good outcome.
As regards your radiotherapy, I had 15 treatments, which I must say went very well in fact the easiest part of my treatment, most ladies are only have 5 in the UK which is great news as you said you are in Spain and this maybe different.
