I’ve been having bleeding on and off this last week, I’ve been on tamoxifen 6 months and am 2 yrs post last monthly period. I’m 58. I also have pelvic pain and lower back ache.
I can’t get a reply from my bcn and my GP surgery has just denied u/s scans.
I’m feeling so scared that no one seems to be taking this seriously.
Can you advise, please? How can I get help?

I dont know if this will be much help , but I would go back to GP with your concerns.
I am 56 and been on tamoxifen for 3 years. My periods started varying from 3 - 6 months apart and a lot heavier.
I was sure it was menopause effects but also concerned about tamoxifen.
I went to GP and was told they are more cautious when on tamoxifen. I was examined and all was fine. She said if I had a period after a year, then to go back and I would be referred for scans.
As said, I would go back to GP and tell them how concerned you are.

Go back to your GP. It may not be related to Tamoxifen or your cancer but it does need to be checked out.

It’s understandable you feel scared about the on and off bleeding you have experienced this last week.
Unusual bleeding or heavy periods whilst on Tamoxifen should always be communicated to your treatment team as you have already done so. We would suggest trying to contact your breast care nurse again or contacting the medical secretaries about this. Your GP can also contact your breast care team on your behalf.
As @poorlyboob and @bluetit11 say, it’s important to contact your GP practice again about your concerns. You may find it helpful to speak to a different GP.
