Hi there. I finished five days radiotherapy on 15th Aug. Other than an uncomfortable arm (mechanical from positioning, I feel), I haven’t felt any discomfort. Yes I have swelling and redness but manageable. I have now developed a rash on the top of the breast (ILC in the lower/outer quadrant). Is this and itching, to be expected? I’m asking here before I pester the breast care team
I should add - I had lumpectomy and subsequent reconstruction (LIPAC)
TIA

I like to back up what I say with information. This is on NHS leaflet.

I’ve been sent home with a strong steroid cream to put on the whole area (whole breast plus lymph nodes in underarm and behind clavicle, for ILC) once a day for the duration of my treatment and two weeks afterwards (as well as the moisturiser twice a day), which suggests a rash is definitely a possibility to me. I’d give the cancer treatment helpline a buzz.
