Hi everyone, I had a mx with tissue expander and node clearance on 14/12/12. I will start having saline put into the tissue expander on wednesday. I was given a front fastening bra to wear by bcn which is comfy but does not give a very good shape with comfee in (looks like squashed orange with bad celulite!!) and also does not give any support to good side. I brought 2 post surgery bras from m & s which puts pressure on on my side where the nodes were removed and hurts as it stops at the side where my scar is but as they have some padding in give a good smooth shape. Does anyone have a suggestions for comfy bras that dont cost too much give support and a decent shape or am I asking the impossible here ?. Dont really want ones that go over the head as still not got full range of movement back in my arm yet and think I would struggle to get it on and off. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. xx
Hi there,
i got a vest from m and s that was pocketed. I could pull it on over my legs rather than up over my head. Could be with a try?

A lot of women who had reconstrcutive surgery around the time I did like the Triumph Triaction sport bra (not the extreme version) which offers good support and is comfy. Not exactly the most gorgeous item you will ever wear, but does the job. Check Ebay and Amazon as well as lingerie shops or department stores. It is back fastening not an over the head thing! Photo nicked from the web.

Hi BS19
I had the same problem after my op which was just over 3 years ago and had forgotten all about it until i read your post. I found the best way to ease the pressure of the bra against my scar was to use a 4 x 4 inch squares of velvet i would fold them once or twice and place it either side of the scar under my bra it will alleviate the pressure & discomfort of your bra against your skin/scar.
It certainly worked a treat for me!
Big hugs

I second Revcats recommendation - I had a double mx with immediate DIEP recon and it was brilliant!
