Pre-op bras

Newbie here, recently diagnosed and having chemotherapy for approx 6 months before a mastectomy. I have inflammation in my right breast and need to find comfortable, supportive (38DD), budget -friendly bras to wear during this period. I’ve tried taking the wire out of my current bras, but there’s not enough support there. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just be aware my inflammation went down quite quickly after chemotherapy started (inflammatory breast cancer).

Hiya farmerjo,
So sorry you find yourself here.
I am second time here, first diagnosed 2020 and again this year at 5 year mamo.
I have used George at Asda bras- they are in a two pack and have front fastening hooks. They wash well and I’m wearing them now after masectomy and reconstruction.I am in middle of my 6 chemos so feel you.
Sending lots of good luck hun
Love x

M&S have a great selection of post op bras and a good fitting service. Good luck with your treatment and surgery. X

Hi, I have had a preventative double mastectomy and was unlucky then to get a different type of cancer but am now thankfully :grinning: now 2 years post chemo & radiotherapy . I struggled to find great fitting bras and half the time wasn’t sure what I should be wearing. I’ve been fitting bras for over 30 years now and specialise in mastectomy and post surgery bras. If anyone needs help please [get in touch] @envielingerie
