Preparing for chemotherapy

I have just been Diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. The surgery was a complete success. A 7mm cancer with clear margins and no node involvement. My surgeon recommended chemo but as the cancer was so small the BC nurse said the oncologist will tell me the pros and con’s of chemo and I have to decide. Reading up on triple negative and the high distant reoccurrence rate its a no brainer for me as I won’t take the risk of it being back elsewhere.

I don’t see the oncologist until at least until the w/c 12th may but know I will agree to chemo so want to plan ahead now why I can.

I live in romford in Essex and want to know if anyone can recommend someone who does eyebrow tattoos that look good and last as I hear its hit and miss on if these are any good.  Also any ideas on the best type of wig, whether real hair or not and the best places to go.

I would appreciate any feed back as I feel by sorting these types of things I have some control.

Thanks Roxie

Hi there, I had one and ended up just wearing a lot of different caps and hats. Wig was so itchy good luck though.

Hi Roxy65

I have just been wig shopping last week !! Never dreamt I would be writing that 6 months ago but hey ho…anyway I went to a couple of places and eventually found a really lovely studio that was a private appointment one on one. I looked at both real and fake hair and decided on the fake. They are pros and cons with both, real will last longer and can be styled, fake wont last as long and will start getting bitty after about 4 or 5 months if worn every day (thats if its long as it gets static off your shoulders, short will last longer).  It will stay in the same style however come rain or shine. I looked at both and decided the quality of the fake was excellent and was advised on the actual cap, which can differ. Unfortunately the more lightweight and comfortable inner caps were not covered by the nhs, also the one I liked better on the parten wasnt either and this was really important to me. Eventually I chose I style very similar to my own and it cost £220.I have decided to use my prescription though and will be buying a cheaper wig with it for day to day when im not going anywhere,  might as well for £65. I have actually used the cold cap but need a wig on hand to stop any panic if everything falls. Hope that helps, Louise xxxx
