Problem getting letrozole prescription

Hi has anyone had a problem recently in getting letrozole on prescription from their chemist?Yesterday my local Boots could only give me 1 months supply not  2 as usual as she said there is manufacturing problems.She couldn’t order any other makes of it either (I have always been given accord brand).I am obviously concerned what happens if they cannot obtain supplies.

This just topped off a rubbish few days as I went for oncology clinic appointment Thursday for ct scan results (3 weeks and 6 days since the scan was done!)to be told by a nurse that scan results were not done yet.I am so upset by this as my sister and I both take time off work to attend clinic appointments and they couldn’t even be bothered to phone me to delay the appointment for when results were in.I was advised to contact P a l s department to voice my concerns at radiology delay as clinic complains and nothing ever done.

Sorry rant over but it’s been tough waiting for results.

didi, don’t worry about letrozole, they’re probably changing the packaging or prices, they do this from time to time.

l was interested in your shocking news about waiting nearly 4weeks for scan results. i. went for my appointment 4 weeks after my scan feeling chilled because i thought they would have told me if there had been a problem. the scans had not even arrived from scanning department, we had to wait while a stressed out doctor checked them, only to find there was a serious spread to the bones and lung. i was  so stressed out and upset after this for weeks. for us this is the final straw and we have decided that as soon as i am settled on the new meds we are moving in order to change hospitals. i am seriously wondering if we are at the same hospital as i can’t imagine this is normal.
