I was due to start chemo tomorrow but the nurse rang to explian that when i had my heart trace last week they found that one of the drugs they will administer would cause a problem as it slows your heart down(As i haven’t spoken to Doc yet i’m not sure exactly what this means.)
I was going to be given Adramycin Cyclophosamide and 5- Flurouacil so i’m not sure which one of these is the problem.
Has anyone else come up against this heart thing?

Hi Dee,
My first chemo regime was Epirubicin then CMF which includes, cyclophosamide and 5FU.I didnt have any heart issues,so i am guessing by process of elimination, i gues it may be Adraycin…but its best to research your 3 drugs for more information which is likely to cause heart issues.Im sure your Onc will be able to explain this matter further.

I have SVT, bouts of very fast heart beats due to an electrical fault!
My onc reduced my dose of epirubicin because of this.
