Just a quickie, to brighten the mood a bit before bed… On another thread some ladies were discussing sewer problems, I thought it would cheer us up to know that they once found half a motorbike down in the sewer…also that a scottish sewer was blocked by a ‘large Pooh’…‘.cannie beat that yin’

i just know you are going to want to thank me for these!

Hello willows new and old! Dizzy have a lovely time with your sister. It really is a glorious day here as well. Just back from fatigue gym and feeling energised, so it does work - well until about mid afternoon! I’ve printed your version Beth in black and white for my manager today and yours Sue, with the softer headings!, for OH. Very accurate summary and a prompt for me to check in with a counsellor. Beth good luck today and Clair I hope you are able to both loll and lol today. Rubycat keep those pictures coming - I’m exactly the same as Beth - one hint of moisture and I’m like Crystal Tips (albeit less controlled!).
Today I’m looking for handy hints for what to put in a moving in box for my daughter and her partner. They’ve been in staff accommodation and now setting up together. I think they’re fine for china, bedding etc but was thinking of a box of necessities that you never think about i.e. Loo cleaner, Worcestershire sauce, dusters, tea etc … any thoughts? Lesley what news on appointments this week? Xxx

Hello Willows,

Just caught up with all your posts.  Flipping heck, it takes ages if you take a day off.  Rubycat, you’ll be pleased to know, after seeing your pic re our new friends I did both, peed and ripped up the couch in their honour.

So Glad your feeling better Clair, just in time for your half term break.  Dizzy, enjoy your day with your sister.  Janey, re box for daughter, a few years ago I would have said corkscrew, nothing more frustrating than having a bottle of wine and no way to open it, but these days they’re mostly screwtops.  Tin opener, teaatowels, disclothes, tinfoil, eggcups - that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

Beth, hope compliance meeting goes ok, they’re so stressful at the best of times, let alone at this time for you.

Is Lily back? Not sure how long she went for.  She might have absconded with a gondolier.

Beautiful day here.  Actually done some cleaning.  Opticians tomorrow followed by Valentine lunch with himself (soppy old thing), counsellor Thursday and thankfully that’s it appointment thus week.  The biggy is Tuesday week, my shoulder injection.  Never in the history of time has anyone looked forward to an injection so much.

ps, I so want that loo with the fish xx

Hello lovelies  that toilet is fab I want one.
I’ve been a good girl and played games this afternoon with the 2 kids that are home today I must confess I did clean the windows… It’s such a lovely day and the sun tried to shine through so I just had to do it.
I haven’t got an infection so that’s one test out of the way still waiting for the scan as new date!
Helena I’ve been thinking of you today and have you had enough toilet breaks that’s something I found I had to remember to do.xx
Janey I hope your meeting went ok and suggestions for your box. clingfilm, oven gloves matches and candles ( you never know when the power might go out) xx
Dizzy your day sounds lovely have fun xxx
Catch up later lots of love Clair xxx

Predicted text… Scan date not new date :-D. I just like one xxx

Janey, I have totally failed as a parent, and my children don’t see dirt, so how could they ever clean it?  I would be wasting my time with cleaning materials. On the other hand, they do get through shedloads of Dettox kitchen surface cleaner, so maybe some of that would be okay in their moving in box. Tea towels, Jcloths, sandwich bags, tinfoil.

But how nice to see them move into their own place, even if they are a lot further away from you. At least you are on a decent motorway route, Dorset is the back end of beyond.

I had a lovely day with my sister, I didn’t realise till today when we were comparing notes, not only did we have the same type of cancer, it was in exactly the same place, what kind of coincidence is that?

Ruby, first I thought your message said your little sister is 11, crikey, I thought, that’s quite an age difference!

So if she is 11 months older than you, she must be shorter?

Clair, cleaning windows sounds much too enthusiastic, I think we all ought to make a pact not to do certain jobs.

My other pet hate is cleaning blinds. But one day I’m going to have to clean the cooker, tempted though I am by Lesley’s solution!

Dizzy forget about the cooker surely they’re all self cleaning, I’ve had mine over 10 years and I’ve only ever cleaned the doors  well wiped them over when I’ve spillt something. I’ve also managed to make 2 of my children totally ocd and the other are 2 slobs not sure how that happened.
Hope everyone has had a lovely day, it’s so nice to have a bit of sunshine xxxx

Evening everyone,

Well it looks as if you lot have been having a fun day today with talks of weeing and pooing!!

I have done it, for the first time in 4 months I have done a full day at work, and I didnt even fall asleep :)  Got to do it all again tomorow though so that will be interesting.

Going to have to try and catch up with everyones posts properly so see you laters peeps

Helena xxxx

Well done Helena <3. Go girl xxxxx

love the loo, Rubycat, I want one!
Cleaning the windows? Clair, I managed to avoid it all last year, but had an excuse, being all that we’ve gone through!
Dizzy, so glad you had a lovely day with your sister, amazing coincidence oh & leave that oven! it doesn’t get any worse, fortunately, we’re replacing ours shortly for a super duper self cleaning one - yay! so have the perfect excuse.
Janey, I would go with Lesley’s suggestion of a bottle opener, nothing worse than having nothing to open a bottle of wine with ?
Hi there Leigh…!
So glad you’ve got through it, Helena, brilliant!
Anyway, off to brekkie shortly, have developed a stinking cold, oh deep joy…!
love & hugs everyone

Top tips tit willows! I think the bottle opener gets first place - could only be you Lesley!. Rubycat my daughter runs a tight ship at work in the kitchen but as for cleaning … she has always had a floordrobe!
Lovely for you to have been with your sister Dizzy. I miss mine. OH is sat reading the rollercoaster article and got a bit teary! I forgot to bring in to my manager but we had the first good meeting and I’m being referred on to OH. I’ve told him I’m knackered … unfortunately when I had cancer before it didn’t impact a smidgin as much, so I think we were all expecting me to be the same!
Clair I could see sunlight glinting over the border, must have been your windows. As for ovens - I have a self-cleaning one now and it’s just brilliant.
Beth I hope today went well and yay Helena! Evening all to everyone not name checked. You do know I walk around with you all in my head!! Xx
