Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hello you mad lot, I’ve really had a good giggle catching up with you all
That’s brilliant about Colin Helena xxx
The hospital sent me a letter today bringing forward my appointment by 1day?? So now Wednesday is the day at 4 o’clock.
I’m starting to worry more now mainly because hospitals bring back memories I’d rather forget but I’ll be glad to get something done asap.
Only 1 more day then I’m on holiday and we’re off to Penarth on Sunday so something lovely to look forward to.
Much love to you all Clair xxxxx

evening you lovely fluffies

Well I am totally knackered tonight, I mowed the back lawn, for the first time since Sept last year when I was diagnosed, a BIG achievement for me, but boy it was hard even with the man doing the first cut for me.

Thank you all so much for your lovely words about Colin, it really does feel like progress, albeit slow, but he is definitely getting there,  I do not know what I would do without you all xxxxx

Just wanted to say…was reading Carolyns posts about fashione gone by…and recalled a recent conversation id had with some youngsters about…‘…Pan STik’  now…do any of you have the bottle

to admit you remember it? Im absolutely sure now that we must have looked a sight!

I also was one of the first to wear ‘chisel toe’ shoes to school, and used to wear kitten heels out on dates etc.

ho hum,

Evening Wondergirls

Told myself I was going to start closing this machine down at 10.30, like most of you sensible gals do. Sure it keeps me awake early hours. Manage to do as I tell myself sometimes. Went to the class I mentioned and it turned out to be the last one of term, and were going on for a dwinkie so kindly invited me along. Took some huge persuading - not!! Great evening with some good company, stimulating conver and, most importantly, a few laughs.Sooo glad I went. Felt so much better from. Then popped for a few late night shopping titbits, sent a longish reply message to my last nights initial enquiring message to Sweet or Cwtchy-Charys and it’s now 2.30.

Helena - pretty sneaky that hubby of yours, 'ey. Quietly taking it on “himself” (the inverted commas are to give emphasis without resorting to capitals) to sort a few things. Tell him Delly’s massively impressed with his attitude and in total admiration of his “gumption” (good word) and, quite frankly, “gutsyness”!! But also please will you tell LadyHelena, of tapestry fame, Delly thinks the same about her too !! One Darlin Woman.

Moijan - D’ya mean panstick foundation, from the famous M F cosmetic manufacturer. Had fun using for theatrical make up.

Claireebee - Penarth? Would that be Pembrokeshire somewhere. Remind me please. I don’t know if I’ve said this recently to you, or meant to but didn’t. Awwww, I came across your “bambino” photos, t’other night when catching up. Made me go all gooey eyed and gooey headed. What a gorgeous little poppit. When you seeing him next?? or is the up coming Easter hol a family one?? Am not gonna profer my availability for “Aunty” adoption - keep getting turned down. Wonder why? You lot haven’t been spreading rumours have you?? Honestly, I’ve now cut it down to two a night - bottles that is. Just give me a sling to pop him in, so he’s close to my warm heart and my fake bosoms, but my hands are still free to hold a glass :catwink: I need to have an excuse to go see all these kiddie Disney and the like films, panto’s, animule zoo things. What’s that sorry - errr. . . ha, you’re right, no I don’t. But. . . so much more fun with one, two or however many kiddies to take tho’. Praps I ought to hire myself out, as people do to look after animals in their own homes and house sit, whilst their owners go away on hol. I could offer the same service for kiddiewinkies. Would have to make sure I didn’t get the animal and baby human food mixed up, that’s ALL. Nowt else.

What’s that, “Nappies”?? That means the same as “Sleepies” doesn’t it? No?! Oh s**t (literally). Mmmm, might have to count me out if that’s the case then. Let me know when they’re older!!!

Nitey Nite xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx nappy change, then more xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Moijan
Oh yes …remember pan stick by max factor …used to put it on with a trowel I think. My mum used to moan about it staining the pillows too . Funny …I can still remember its smell . Xxx

I think I remember the panstick, was that the one that you used to twist the bottom of it as it got used?

One memory from my past is I remember the first time I was told that I did not have to wear special surgical shoes, which were either black or brown (great colour choice in those days!!)  my mum took me to buy my first pair of ordinary shoes, they were bright and I mean bright red!! Needless to say I didnt wear them for long, they were hideous.

Well its dull here this morning but the forcast is better for this afternoon.  I have a lovely evening planned tonight with my bestie, going out for an italian meal so really looking forward to that.

Carolyn how is the dalmation tapestry coming on?

Helena xx

Ooooh, panstick, white lipstick and ginormous false eyelashes.  What a mess!  Luckily there wasn’t Facebook in those days or photos of how we looked would keep popping up time and time again.

Sally (gardener) is here doing the first cut of the grass.  It’s so long, she’s got a big job on her hands.  Forth ateky she brings her own super duper mower with her.

drizzly her after a glorious day yesterday.  I sat in the sun reading for 3 hours and caught the sun, bliss. Xx

That should have read fortunately.  Flipping predictive text/auto correct!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Lesley …love that …I hate hate predictive text …my worse one was on another thread …I was saying about baby ducks …it changed it to baby dicks and I didn’t notice !!
Helena …the dalmation is still work in progress …the background is boring as its a lot of dark green …but the dog was fun doing …it’s a cushion again.
Got another to do soon …it’s a west highland terrier sat on a cushion …
It’s sort of cloudy here but I’m chilly probably because I’ve left off my snuggly jumpers and fur boots !!
Xxx

Hello lovelies. Hope you’re all having peaceful evenings. I’ve just had my hot date with Monty Don and know what’s next for the garden.
My aren’t we a glamorous bunch! I didn’t do panstick but do remember my daughter screaming across the swimming pool because “the lady’s face is sliding off”!
I’m more black is the new black, with the odd bit of purple these days!
Definitely matches my mood at the moment - I’m struggling a bit with being back to work and assumption everything is back to normal, especially at home. OH out this evening, which is probably good! Looking forward to the weekend and some proper time together rather than passing ships!
Clair have a good trip and I hope you get lots of time with Macsen. Love to all xx

Thank you flower! Xx

Good morning all.
What a lovely sunny morning to wake up to after the rain last night.
Janey …I know how u feel …so many people think that having bc is like the flu …u take a few pills and it all goes away. It’s the mental fear and emotions it leaves behind. If u have had chemo …it takes twelve months to get back the strength etc.
Well washing line broke this morning …hubby is going to move it when he fixes it …omg …more drilling and swearing to be heard coming from Devon …new bathroom blind was three hours this week of tutting! !

Blimey turn the volume down Carolyn - I can hear the drilling and swearing 8 miles away! A better day today, with frustration taken out by digging over one of the beds. A lovely day due tomorrow, so we are off to RHS Rosemoor for yet more garden therapy!
Feeling a bit teary but in a nice way. My much fitter than me sister is running the Brighton 10k for BCC. I think she realises how marvellous it and you have all been. I hope the sun is shining on you all wherever you are today xx

Janey sending you a huge hug xxxxx
Remember be kind to yourself, as I have to keep telling myself we won’t always feel like this mentally and physically, it might take a while but I’m sure we’ll get there in the end and you have the added stress of waiting on results and all that may come with it. I wish your employers were more helpful like mine. Having that extra day makes such a difference.
I saw your post and will donate a little something like you say this site is fabulous and has enabled me to find like minded souls to get me through some really tough days. Xxxxxxx
Look after yourself my lovely and get a house rota going I did and it really worked xxx

Have a great day tomorrow the weather’s looking good oh and take lots of pics of Rosemoor I’m really jealous. Xxxx

Ahhh, Carolyn, wondered where all that cursing was coming from this mornin - the Devon direction!! That’s interesting that there are two Tapestry Twinkies (I was gonna use “Tarts”!! Used and said in an endearingly way - honest guvnor. But decided not to take the risk of it being offensive. I have to be careful you know - need to earn back some Brownie points) on this one thread.

Lady Helena - Did you have a good girlie night with your bestie?

Well, Carolyn, I officially turned off my heating yesterday. It’s getting warm up 'ere, but I’m often saying my post menopausal hot flushes must be saving me a huge amount on heating bills. Unfortunately, the other side of that is, that they make the previously welcomed and loved warmer Spring and Summer months unbearable, especially sleep wise.

Janeys complaints of the noise too. Where’s Rosemoor? My god, your sis!! How amazing is that. Has got “me” all teary - so touching and frankly bloomin wonderful of her. Awwww, I would think much of it is that she’s soooo glad to still have you.

Love to everyone xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you Auntie Delly xx
I’m very excited to be going to see them all again and celebrate my son’s 29th birthday!!! It’s very scary how quickly the time has flown by.
I bet Macsen’s grown loads as well xxxx.

CorrClair -

Ahh shucks, “Auntie Delly”. Have gone all soft and cwtchy - 'cept with ref to “nappies”. I’d get used to that tho.

Am trying to draw our Charys out, back to our bosoms, to give her some comforting lovin and support. You readin this Charys?? But, I also respect the fact that she’s wanting some self time.

xxxxxxx

Hello fluffies

White Rabbits for the first of the month

Had a wonderful evening out last night with my best friend and she gave me my new replacement mug, which is called Spring Blooms, very apt as new beginnings, christened it this morning with my morning cuppa.

The weather here has gone slightly chillier and  xxwe are having an afternoon of sunshine and showers so far, so I am not in the garden today.

Clair have a wonderful holibobs, looking forward to seeing some pics of Macsen

Hugs to you all xxxx

Thank you lovelies. I shall take pics of Rosemoor (Delly it’s a beautiful garden in Morth Devon). Clair I’m thinking about membership, so I can go lots and take a friend too?! I’m proud of my sister - I can’t run for toffee - with my short leg it would be in a circle!! We’ve rented a DVD for tonight but a walk to the pub first - so getting our mojo back - phew! Have a wonderful time with your boys. How are the rest of you? Xx
