Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hi all

thank you for everyone’s kind words on my first Monday away from the mad house. It’s been bliss. I got up at 8 which still feels like a real treat lol, had some fruit toast (no brekkie on the run lol) , watched some telly, had a shower and have just made a quiche for supper tonight. What a relaxing start to the day!!!

I definitely feel calmer, less stressed and less sore which reaffirms the change I have made. It’s also REALLY good being home with hubby bless him. He is beginning to unwind too and I’m so glad. Working flat out, long hours for over 25 years has taken its toll on both of us, so this feels like a half time break in our working life before we start again!! Still 20 years to go till our state pension!! Lol

weather is horrendous today and it’s been hammering down since the early hours. No pooch walk today I don’t think - not that Mac will even entertain going outside in this rain!! Always makes me chuckle when he reverses at the door!

sending hugs all round fluffies

Okay so I am probably worrying about nothing, but I have just fallen coming out of work and knocked my breast, yep my bc side, on the paving slab.  Feeling a bit scared and have rung my bcn, waiting for her to call me back :(  I have probably done more damage to my knee and foot but the anxiety omnster has taken hold of me.

Oh Helena I’m so sorry to read this my lovely I really hope your ok very gentle hugs xxxxx

Ouch, poor Helena. Hope it feels better soon, and there’s no damage done. But falling over like that really shakes you up. I hope you didn’t damage the bowling arm or shoulder?

Beth, welcome to the lazybones club! You deserve a break after everything that has been going on for the last year, and at least you know if your mum needs you, you can be there for her. Despite the weather, this is a lovely time of year to start your time out of the rat race. And I’m sure you’ll find your time fills up really quickly, it’s amazing how you find there always seems to be plenty to do.

Lesley, have you got a new login or have we got a new Lesley on board?

Ohhh helena

that sounds very sore indeed. I suspect you’ll be really sore in a couple of days when the bruising comes out. You must have had such a fright lovely. So glad the BCN got in touch so quickly to put your mind at rest so that you don’t have to worry about anything untoward.

try and rest tonight and be prepared to be a bit stiff tomorrow.

Sending huge hug my friend. Xxx

Evening all,
Dizzy I’m feeling a lot better today not so tired and it’s back to work tomorrow and see how it goes, we’ve only got 7 weeks left now before we break up for the 6 week hols but I have to make a decision soon about cutting down my hours so I can put it to the governors!
Beth your day sounds fab  except the horrible weather it’s been windy and raining all day here xxx

Ouch Helena, poor booby, i bet they hurt big time.  I know even if I slightly knock mine it throbs and aches for ages after.  Hope BCN has reassured you.

No, no new Lesley lol.  When I first joined the site I set my user name up using my full name without realusing utwould appear in full everytime I posted.  I tried to change it but it wouldn’t let me so i registered again using a different email address.  I had to log in today and in error used original email address (as it’s the one us main,y use) so it used my first registration, i logged out then logged in again as Lesley21.  Boy, thst turned into a long story!

So Glad you enjoyed first day of freedom Beth and hope first day back goes ok tomorrow Claire.  Right going to watch the prog with Lady Lucan talking for the first time about the events if that night all those years ago.  I remember it clearly, I’ve always wondered where he went and if he’s still alive somewhere, guess we will never know.

Hellooooo all you Fluffy Neddies, Delly Hee-Haw here,

Been locked in a horrible paddock, miles away from you lot. No grass left - all my previous Janey jobs have turned to mud, nobody’s been chucking any hay fodder in, and the water trough been dry for a few months. Kept hearing the sound of giggles and galloping hooves in the distance, so I decided to headbutt the gate down and follow the rumpus. There you all are, hoof high in lush grass, with troughs of fresh water, wine, gin and tonic - Five Star paddock. Yum num num,  slurp, slurp. Hic

I warn you though, I’m in need of a good cleaning up and grooming before some much required concentrated tickling under the chin. You’re all looking so clean, soft, fluffy, and beautineddyful !!

Haven’t been switching this machine on, so I’ve only just found notice of a search party email from Lesley buried under a pile of manure. Sorry haven’t yet responded Lush, need to rince it off first before I read it, but thanks very much for it in advance. I “shall” reply once (if) I get my head a bit more together again.

I’ve only got so far with all your news and antics, so forgive me if I don’t mention you all and your goings on. I understand congrats and phews are in order for Janeys results - whoopee!! and Bethy-Boos FREEDOM!! - yahoo.

Soothing strokes and noises to poor Helena after throwing yourself onto the pavement and jeapordising your highly regarded bowling skills. An Awww from me (without the Hee-)

Dizzy - Am I right that your op has been delayed then, whilst you had pre scans/mammo?

Clairee - have you had your op now? and if so, are you healing and recovering well.

Hoping all of you are doing/keeping well. Catch up more when I can.

Sending you all a big hug and loadsa lurrrrrv

SmellyDelly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ps. Gawd awful news on the M/C terrorist attack ey? Incredibly touching concert.

PPs - Lesley, I was sent some info on a possible aid for migraines you might like to try. Remind me if I forget. x

Delly how lovely to hear from you, I was worried you’d been kidnapped by gremlins. I hope you’re okay, I know you said you were going through a bad patch. But yes, there’s plenty of room in our paddock.

My op hasn’t been delayed, the surgeon I saw wanted to discuss with the whole team how to do it, I guess it’s more complicated trying to end up with a match to the first than whipping everything out, different priorities. I would probably prefer my original surgeon to do it anyway. The thing that feels a bit strange is it being a year on from last time, a second summer of appointments and tests and wondering when the operation will be.

How about your reconstruction, you were going to start that process round now I think?

Clair, I hope you have a good day for your first day back at work, hope you can ease in gently.

Helena, hope you’re not too stiff and sore this morning.

Fluffies, hope you all have a good day, it’s still blustery here but at least the sun is shining, I need to see what the stormy weather has done to my allotment.

Good morning willow, and welcome back Delly xx. It’s peeing down here.  I wouldn’t go out if I really didn’t have to but I’m running low on medication so need to go to chemist and order more, plus need some other bits so will go yo Knitting group, not sure anyone else will show up though in this.

Have a lovely day whatever you’re all doing, catch up with you all later, and again, Lovely to hear from you Delicious xx

Evening all you lovely willows

Well I am rather sore today, shouders aching and my side beside the breast is rather sore, probably bruised my side and ribs, no major bruising coming out yet, I think I might get some witch hazel to see if that will bring it out.  Not bowling tonight thought it would be prudent to rest hopefully I will be ok for the comp tomorrow as it is a big one.
