A humerous question for this wet and windy Sunday…
Blimey pop out to do some shopping with the daughter and have 2 lovely pages to catch up on ? .
Dizzy your fab just don’t over do it xxx
I love our new theme tune and will definitely be singing out loud . I’m not sure how long tamoxifen takes to get out of your system ( still got the sweats ) but I’m feeling a lot happier it might just be that my family are around and I don’t have to rush about ?
Beth pic 2 ?? & congratulations to hubby on his job exciting times ahead xxxx
Love to everyone I’m off for a glass of wine xxxxx
Looking gorgeous there Ruby and that picture took my right back!
Wow, so much to catch up on. So glad about hubsters new job Beth, great news, plus it means you can be a lady of leisure longer now he’s bringing the bacon home again.
Yes, that’s the thing, didn’t know they were called weebles, just remembered my budgie having one in his cage.
Beth, Im a bit embarrassed to admit it but I’m a candy crush addict. I finished the whole thing months ago but every Wednesday at 11am they add a new episode and I’ve usually finished it by 1pm if I haven’t got anything planned that morning, sad I know.
Beth
oops, congrats to huby on new job xxxx
Morning fluffies ? Only I could make an appointment for 8.30 in my hols ! But I’ve had a great nights sleep with no hot flushes it’s wonderful. Hopefully I’ll get my hormone level blood test asap and see where I’m at . Have a fab day and I’ll catch up later xxx
Clair are you feeling a lot better off the Tamoxifen ?
Happy Monday Willows,
so glad you got good nights sleep Clair, makes all the difference, though i am speaking from memory as since diagnoses and coming off hrt and menopause symptoms back with a vengance, still it’s only been 14.5 years!
Himself back to the hospital again, wound bleeding and weeping. He has an appointment st the gp surgery for the dressing to be changed but it’s had to be done twice since they last did it. The nurse at the hospital gave him instructions to give the surgery of how to do it and what to use and said if they didn’t have the Right stuff, get it, plus it needs doing every other day. Don’t think he’ll be very popular if he use
s the exact words and tone.
After we went and got my new phone. I wanted to wait as I hate getting presents before the day but he insisted as my old one keeps running out of charge and he doesent like me being out and about with a phone that could go off any minute. I’m not really someone who puts great store by phones, as long as I can make calls and text Im happy but have to say I love it, plus The pretty floral case we got as well.
Hope you are all ok and those of you at work are not being worked too hard. Zoe, the countdown has started for your bell ringing. Not sure how many more you’ve got, but think I’m right that’s it’s this week? Xx
Hello all
It’s bright and breezy here this afternoon. We went to the pictures this morning, I wanted to see Dunkirk because some of it was filmed in Weymouth. I’m not usually a war films fan, but this wasn’t too gory, and ended with all the little boats to the rescue, so a sort of happy ending.
I’m going to totter round the garden later doing a bit of deadheading, but I’m putting my feet up for a bit first.
My husband has just been diagnosed with macular degeneration, so we’ve been trying to do some googling to see how quickly it’s likely to progress, if it looks like happening at any speed I think he’s going to want to stop work to enjoy his leisure while he can, he’s already talking about when he’ll have to stop driving. I’m hoping that’s all a lot of years away, but it’s obviously knocked him for six at the moment.
Lesley, flipping heck, what does it take to get a district nurse to come out to you?? All this effort for a man in pain already, he needs to be resting at home, not slogging round on buses. At least you have your cruise to look forward to, and this will have long since cleared up by then.
Beth, congratulations to your hubby on his new job, I hope he’s recovered from his difficult week.
Jill, I hope today is a better day.
Catch you all later Fluffies
xxx
Oh darling Dizzy, it seems as if all us Willows going through this awful BC journey also have terrible things also happening to our loved ones too. All I can say which I really hope is a comfort, a friend of ours (Half of the couple we’re going on the cruise with) Had the same diagnoses as your husband three years ago. It was a blow as she, like me had never had children so never had a break from working, Also looked after both parents until their deaths, then finally took early retirement as she had enough then was diagnosed with the same thing as your husband, plus something else I can’t even remember the name of. As she hadn’t displayed the usual symptoms they were very late in diagnosing her and she was very close to losing her sight. Happy to report that although she has to have regular blood tests, take a large dose of steroids and see a consultant every two months she is doing fine. Still driving, still having fun and going on several holiday a year. As long as the condition is kept under control there’s no need for it to impact on her life, so you carry on in your S&M gear until it’s time to reveal your new perky boobs and you and hubbie enjoy life, one thing fir sure is, we’re not going to get out of here alive, so let’s just enjoy it. Hope I’m not sounding flippant, it’s poo with a capital P (or S if I’m being truthful but don’t want to be slung off the site) just hoping if I/we try and sound positive, fate will think, ok, I’ll give those lot a break now xx
Ok I’m booked in for a hormone test in 3 weeks just to make sure I’m clear of the tamoxifen as the Dr and I aren’t sure how quickly it leaves your system? We had a good chat and I didn’t cry which is quite unheard of lately in fact I left smiling !
I know it’s only been 3 days since I stopped but yes Jill I feel much happier, calmer and in control it might be because hubby is home and he’s my safety net what ever it is I’m happy it is a bit worrying that I might have to restart it in a month we’ll have to see , I have the dentist tomorrow and I havent started panicking yet .
Dizzy we went to Dorch this morning and found a lovely tea shop called Curiositea up by brewery square it was gorgeous. We probably just missed each other . I’m so glad your doing so well xxxxx
Lesley I was wondering can your oh have hospital/ Dr transport to get to his appointments ? Bloody NHS cuts it’s just not right ! My daughter in law doesn’t have a assigned health visitor you just go to a centre and see anyone there , how are you meant to get any continuity or build a trusting relationship I know I couldn’t of coped with out mine she was amazing anyway rant over . Hope everyone is having a good day much love xxxx
That’s good Clair ,hopefully at least you will get a rest from the symptoms at the very least!!
Dizzy ,they don’t seem to let you deal with one thing at a time do they ,just layers of stress on top of layers of stress!! I also know of someone with that eye condition and it can be well controlled hopefully that will be the case for your OH .
Hi Guys
Gosh you have all been busy today on here. I am going to have to do catch up. Not long home from a pretty onerous day but at least it is finished :) Waiting for the sainsburys delivery so will be back on later

Hi
Two more to go Lesley!
I am the sorest I have been for 2.5 weeks today, nothing major and nothing to undo the excitement of finishing. Very tired but again nothing major.
Love my van rubycat! Hahahaha yes it does need some blinds. Very funny.
I am reading your posts and am mentally responding to you all and sending hugs and laughing where appropriate.
I was telling my friends about you all today! You make for some colourful and heartwarming conversation.
Be good. I’m conserving energy for eating my bowl of ice cream. I might just accidentally drop some down my pj’s!! Only on here you will know that’s got much more to do with heat than “anything” untoward!!!
Xxx
Big hug back to you Janey, vertigo is horrid, poor you xx. And Zoe, wishing you an Icy breeze to blow on the appropriate place. Hugs and cwtchs to the rest of you xx
