Good evening lovely Willows,

 

Only just had a spare minute to catch up catch up on you all.  Massive cwtch to Beth and Clair.  Hopefully now you’ve recuced your working hours Clair you’ll soon get over this fatigue, but it does seem to be lasting a long time.  Janey, you too still suffer from it too don’t you?  I’m not too bad but then I don’t work and get lots of time to just sit and read and rest, don’t know how I’d feel if I had to work.  Hope your cold improves by the time you go to Scotland Beth, it will do you good to get away from things.  It’s difficult when a parent is so ill, but when you e got your own stuff going 9n too must make it even more distressing.

 

Janey, so glad you enjoyed you concert and the rugby, you must be knackered now.  I’m shattered and all Ive done this week is chiro appointments get nails and eyebrows done ready for hols and a bit of shopping, though today I’ve caught up with a few jobs in the house and made a few phone calls to catch up with friends which has keep me out of mischief most of the day until time to cook dinner and watch Strictly.

 

Time for a cuppa and retire to bed with my book and chillows and ice packs.  Night all xx

Hi Lesley, Janey and Helena I’m feeling ok today I’ve watched strictly and am relaxing with a glass of wine ? I’ve just got to try and train my brain not to go into panic mode every time I get correspondence from the hospital.
I’m going to get my bloods checked to see if I’m anemic just got to try and get an appointment!

Well done Zoe, and the cat poo gave me a good laugh.

 

What a glorious day, like mid summer.  Unfortunately after two headache free days (didn’t say anything as did not want to tempt fate) woke up with a stonker this morning.  Dosed up and we went out for lunch but I couldn’t eat as felt so bad, so home and bed.  Such a waste of a beautiful day.  Happy to report it’s eased up now and bearable.  However, two whole days and not even a twinge is real progress so I’m pleased.

 

Waiting for Strictly results then it will be back to bed with more painkillers and hope I’m ok tomorrow as have to pack and want to have a quick whizz round the house with vacuum and duster then try to get a couple of hours sleep before getting back up at 1.30am.  Friends arriving at ours at 2.45am and taxi at 3am.  Think we’ll all be a bit grumpy at that time of the morning.

 

Hope you’ve all enjoyed the lovely weather today, and I’m sure you gardeners will have made the most of it. Xx

Good morning from a VERY windy west wales!

not ideal weather when the builders are in ripping up my deck in the back garden and there’s bits of wood everywhere! Going to be an interesting day at this rate!

A very early good morning gorgeous Willows,

 

Thank you for the Bon Vogage messages.  I’m up, bathed, slap on, cases in the hall and having a cuppa.  That’s one good thing about hot flushes, not so difficult to get out of bed at midnight after just after a couple of hours tossing and turning.  Now, do I watch the last episode of Liar while waiting for our friends to arrive (due at 2.30, taxi at 3.00) or wait until until I get back and watch it when I know I’ll not get interrupted by himself bustling about checking doors and windows are locked etc? Think I’ll wait till I get back and just hope no one tells me what happened.

 

Yes, that sky today was very weird, as well as looking spooky there was a strange feeling in the air.  Friends in Ireland lost power for a couple of hours but otherwise were ok.

 

Wishing you all a healthy peaceful week, I’ll miss you all, you’ve all become a big part of my life xx

Beth, I have been thinking about you and I want you to know that. Have been too tired with work and haven’t even read where you are at with your Mum. Lots of super special hugs coming your way.
I’ve been to docs and had an amazing chat. Resulted in prescribing antidepressants after long thought out process, which I am happy to try as life isn’t working the other way around, in fact it is starting to get very very tricky!

Hey Zoe, I’m really glad you have a supportive dr and I think anything is worth a try to help us cope with what we’ve been through. Lots of people on here have had counselling which has helped them a lot I tried it and it wasn’t for me though.
Are you on a phased return still ? I really struggled with the fact I just can’t work full time anymore and it took a long time to finally make the decision to drop a day, it means I’ve got to tighten my budget up but being healthy is my goal. Go easy on yourself my lovely xxxx

Some day today and one day it will be funny
My body practically gave up on me today, on one of my days off. I got stuck up the top of a hill, steep hill it’s called. Was with someone thank goodness. Got like a motion sickness feeling and it took for bloody ever to get back down. I felt good when we camped but since going back to work it’s all fallen apart as I am so tired. Been to bed already but just got up to have some soup. Feel terrible about ruining my friends day, this last month has felt like a massive rollercoaster and I’m wearing a little thin in myself, never mind on the friends I keep asking support of. Listening today though and no work tomorrow and probably off to get a sick note and will face the consequences of no pay when it happens, I’ve used my 12 weeks up for ops and radiotherapy so I am sure now they might consider stopping my pay. I have about 2 months of pay in my account, then that’s it!!! We’ll see xxxx

Zoe I don’t know if it helps but my finance lady at work said I could get statutory sick pay if and when my work one ran out. I know it’s not a lot but it’s better than nothing. It might also be worth a chat to your bc nurse to see if they can help you . Xxx

 Got a bone to pick with all you Fluffies.

Lost my best glittery thongs and sequined hotpants a few weeks ago. Come on here after being absent, do a quick catch up as best I can, and what do I see? !! My thongs stretched over a V dub’s backside of all places, and my shorts on display. Who’s the thief? Come on, own up. Thongs are now sooo stretched, I can pull the straps up to and over my ears!!

 

I’ve also missed sending LesleyLush and Dizzy Happy Hol wishes. I have an image of Lush standing at the bow of the ship, a la Titanic, silver grey pashmina blowing in the breeze, looking very elegant I must say.

 

Zoe - Well done on your brill fund raising effort gal. Hope you’re feeling better soon and get your work worries sorted soon too.

Bethybooboo - Hope you’re well enough to get up to see your Dad-in-Law. So sorry to hear your Mum’s now developed pneumonia. 

Janey - Hope you get some diagnosis on your face bumps - you still look good to me lovey. Likeing the pretty flowers round the base of our Magnolia. Were you saying you went to a music festival? What was that about Gregory Porter? Couldn’t make out whether you were off to see him at the festival or he’s appearing on Strictly? You’ll have to put me right on that one. Saw him last year - came across as such a genuinely lovely guy with his chatting to his audience, as well as having a voice like smooth chocolate. 

Helena’s been bleeding into her curry. No wonder it tastes so good. Hope your thumb’s healed up now flower.

Been trying to get my sleep pattern back on track, but gone off it again tonight waking up at 4am. Need to get some Nytol me thinks.  BF’s just had a big toe op, so pretty incapacitated at the mo’. She’s got lots of family close by, so is being well looked after, but I’m hoping and wanting to muster myself to get to see her this week, cook and take some lunch for us both and do a few jobs for her. Surprising how important your big toes are for your mobility or lack of, as well I know from treating tootsies.  

Nothing else to report at the mo’. Still at a stalemate with regards to sorting eye, gettin back on boob recon horse again and anything else :smileysad:
