So glad you feel a bit better, Janey, as you say, it’s good it’s nothing sinister & knowing this, helps in processing it all in letting it go.
love to all fluffies out there

Good morning,
Just a very quick pop in as dear friend about to arrive any minute now. She’s making her way from an overnight stay at a friend who lives about an hours drive from me so is popping in on her way back home (she lives miles away from me so only usually get to see her when we manage to coincide our visits to Spain). Once again I’ve had to take huge dose of painkillers before I could get myself up and i to the bath, bit of slap on (don’t want to frighten her) but not up to tidying the house. Himself bless him, has 2hizzed around wi5h dyson and duster, I’m sure she won’t judge me.
Really hope that Dizzy is over the worse an£ not too sure and now the proud owner of a perky pair.
Janey, one more week, really? Think you need much more than that, you really cannot work, especially such a demanding job as yours while exhausted. Get yourself signed off for a couple more weeks at least th3n see how you feel.
Catch up with all you lovelies later as just noticed dust himself missed, that’s one downside of lovely sunshine pouring through the windows xx
Okay, just a quick pop in to say I’m finally back home, very sick of hospitals and enjoying some peace and quiet.
Thanks for all your lovely messages and even more glittery pictures.
Well that was a wasted journey and companies who use websites to promote their business should make sure that their opening times are correct and up to date!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Went to get my brother a stair carpet, website clearly states 11-4pm on a Sunday, NOPE. So another trip on Wednesday
Hope everyone is well today, its a bit quiet on here.
Helena xxxx
I think I should be able to work from home for at least a couple of days, there will probably be a few hundred emails! As usual we are about to catch up with TV on delay, started with rugby on delay. Beth, next week we are in Cardiff to watch Wales v All Blacks, with a friend visiting from New Zealand xx
Evening Strictly Daaaahrlings and Fluffs,
Dizzy - So hope you are doing well, resting up and being waited on. Well done on sticking it out, and braving it out to this stage.
LesleyLush - You amaze me what you still do with nasty heads. Cheering up the new member at your BC group, keeping up with friends - and much more. Wish I could magic your headaches away.
LadyHelena - With you on the C.I.N night. Had me in tears too. Amazing amount raised. Hope you and Col are both doing well. Hope you didn’t take offence at my teasing, and naughtiness ref curries etc. (It was the “etc.” that was naughty). How frustrating, traipsing to the carpet shop and it was shut. Can understand your Grrrrrrrrr.
Janey - Glad your mental health friend was a huge help to you. Were the behind the counter sleep help tabs the nytol antihistamine based ones?? or something else? Hope they work. Yey on the muck spreading - pooo-errrr. Glad the Magnolia’s looking healthy. Hope your GP appointment tomorrow provides the right result for your current needs to get you up and at it again.
Ruby - Hope the last injection has done the trick with your fumb. How did you get that cat to do that?! :smileywink:
Rosie - Hope you get rid of your cold soon. Beechams Hot Lems with a generous dose of whiskey at night always do the trick for me - think it’s the whiskey really!
Hope all you other Fluffs are good or feeling better.
I had the opportunity of a gentle walk today, but my sleep pattern and my slightly more up mental state went to pot again, after that one good day, Thursday. Such a shame, as it was a group I’d only heard of recently, an all female of a certain persuasion one. Was keen to meet some new people, get some fresh air and exercise, plus see how I went on with my feet which have their good and bad days. Feel like I’ve lost so many people or things that I love, and am now losing things that I enjoy doing with this hand and foot biz Hopefully make the one in Dec, which happens to be based around here, Macclesfield.
Just watching The Blue Planet - I must say, all that blue sea, beautiful critters and calm music is all very sooooothing. Such a treat, apart from the human pollution side - frighteningly sad.
Loadsa love to everyone, Delly xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Delly, what a stupendous ‘welcome Back’ message, it did make me ?
Janey, I’ve been reading back and see you’ve been off work , very fatigued and under the weather. I can’t find where it says what has happen though ? I do hope my word game buddy is on the mend, my very warm bestest of wishes to you. Oddly enough I just got bsck from a weekend in Cardiff not half an hour ago…not related to the rugby…just family visiting.
It’s a reaaallyyyyyy cold night here tonight, sat in bed with heated blanket and feeling brrrrrrr still.
Good morning gorgeous Willows,
Another lovely sunny but freezing cold day. Going to have a sofa day. Himself has gone off to yet another funereal. Had a lovely catch up with my friend yesterday. She arrived armed with flowers and vino (always welcome) she collects shot glasses with names of places on and was thrilled that I managed to get her one from every port of call in our cruise with the exception of Casablanca, plus got her one from Oxford last week. I was going to make us lunch but she wanted to have a look at “my town” so after a mooch round the shopping Centre we met up with himself and had a pub lunch then backs to ours. She’s 27 years younger than me and full of life and mishchief so always a tonic to be in her company.
Dizzy, hope you’re sitting up in bed with a breakfast tray loaded with goodies being spoiled and feeling well on the way to complete recovery.
Hope the rest of you are all bright and breezy. Painkillers worked immediately this morning so I’m feeling AOK and going to catch up on some stuff I Sky+. Lovely to have I’m a celeb back and see Ant looking his old self. Blue Planet last night left me distraught over the mother whale carrying her dead baby, if that doesent make us finally clean up our act ruining our planet with plastic nothing will xx
Hello all
Well it’s lovely to be back home, hospitals are far too busy for my liking. This turned out to be a bit more off a trial than I expected, I was just in the ward for a couple of hours before going home when I realised the front of my gown was soaked in blood. So they kept giving me dressings to clamp over and said they’d get the doctor to come. I spent the whole night sitting up in bed holding the dressing in place, and every time I stood up to go to the loo it started dripping again.
Anyway, they finally came to stitch it again next morning, but not till they’d given it all a good squeeze and decided it would be more painful to do a local anaesthetic than to stitch it without… .even after that it carried on bleeding so I had to stay another night. I’ve certainly caused them a lot of washing.
There were some lovely ladies on the ward with me, and the the nurses were brilliant. The ward sister really told the doctor off for hurting me and asked how he’d feel if it was his bits, I didn’t know they spoke to the doctors like that!
It’s a bit hard to tell till the swelling goes down, but I’m really hoping this is right this time, my nipple is in its new home and seems mostly unscathed, there was a risk it wouldn’t take well to being moved again. But whatever happens, I’m done with surgery now, I’m not doing this again.
Dizzy
i am so glad you’re home. It sounds like you have really been through it after the surgery and I think some nurses do know when to speak up when they think they need to. Thank god they do.
Rest up lovely and give yourself all the time you need to recover. No rushing it!
big but gentle hugs winging your way xxx
Today I donned the sparkly big girl pants and then took myself up to the clinic to get this lump looked at again as I’d not heard anything back from my BCN. The worry keeps me awake at night…not that I sleep much these days anyway.
I am so very grateful that you are able to drop in there after 12.00 and they’ll do their best to see you there and then without an appointment.
Anyway, my BCN had a look at it and she wanted to know if I’d knocked my breast recently, which I haven’t, got the ultrasound on it and said it’s definitely within the skin layer but would speak to a surgeon and would I mind waiting. I made a fool of myself and burst in to tears and said that I’m totally freaked out as the thing is so visible, is now about a centimetre across and I’m worrying myself silly.
Within minutes I was with one of the surgeons and she was checking it out. She said she was confident it was nothing to be concerned about but would arrange for it to be removed in outpatients in about 6 weeks time so I would stop FREAKING OUT. Going to have to have a few stitches and she said radiotherapy treated skin can be a mare to heal but it was worth doing for the peace of mind. She kept reiterating that it was nothing to worry about.
I feel better now and hopefully I wont be looking at it at every opportunity. The mind is one hell of a thing and I wish I had the imagination I have now when I was in school. I’m sure we can all imagine all kinds of stuff without too much effort these days.
I don’t care it’s another chunk being removed from my breast. I’ll be glad to see the back of it.
Happy days.
You had to clamp a dressing all night till morning!!! That is not right, that’s really bad, like doing your own first aid in a hospital. Surely they have something which stops blood flow? Glad you have had the all clear on your worry Beth…doesnt take much does it before freaking out sets in nowadays. I too had an ‘all good’ today…my second consultant follow up since surgery. You know that one you get 6 months after the mammo.
Lesley we have a few mild days and nights now…im keeping an eye as it makes a good mprh trapping night.
Huge cwtch to Dizzy and Beth, you both deserve it, plus a medal. Yes, Dizzy, these days nurses do speak up and give doctors a talking to when they need it and about time too, they are the real hero’s, doing the sh*tty jobs and save more lives with their skills than they get recognition for, or st least the good ones do.
Had a lovely restful day and now ready for another hectic week, some appointments and some nice things in the diary. Himself is back from the funereal and wake, another friend gone too soon, just as he and his wife were planning to take early retirement in the new year and move abroad and put their feet up after years of hard work, been talking about it for the last few years and kept putting it off, there’s a message there, when you feel you’ve had enough, stop, you’ll manage somehow financially xx
Charys
Yes I was a bit surprised to be left hanging on to my dressing all night, the doctor was supposed to come by 8pm but arrived at 11am. But I clearly wasn’t bleeding seriously, just enough to make a mess everywhere. It did stop when I pressed it. Anyway, there were some people on that ward with much worse problems, I felt like I was a nuisance really. Except that I suppose I was a bit worried it might suddenly get worse, because it never got any better.
Anyway, all is well and now it’s downhill to some lingerie shopping!
Sorry MOTH trapping lol
Oh Janey, I’m so sorry, it doesnt surprise me though…you’ve had SO much going on healthwise to worry you BIG time. :mansad:
Hellooo ladies
Dizzy - Crikey. Disconcerting isn’t enough of a word to describe your experience. I agree with Charys’s surprise at. Did anyone offer an explanation and apology for it all. Hope it isn’t going to affect the end result for you, after everything you’ve already been through. Am not surprised your now peed off with surgery.
Bethy-Boo - Glad you took your boob into your own hands to get that lump checked. Am not surprised you were so upset with worry, but hope the surgeon set your mind more at ease and you can sleep more peacefully. Shall we give it (the lump) a sending off party when it happens? Yey, lets.
Charys - Moth trapping? Your surnames not Attenborough is it? Glad your check up was a positive one.
LadyH - Helena, thanks for the TMI explanation. Meant to ask you if you’ve been enjoying your latest G.P. Nat cd?
Janey- Love the pic. Magnolias are just like pussy willows when they’re in bud. Looks very healthy - must be all that muck you spread! Lovely Helebores out already. I couldn’t remember if was it you who had a webcam set up in a nesting box to monitor the chicks. It’s a while back now. Think they were appropriately Tits. Couldn’t remember if it was you and on this thread.
Phenergen. Are they the behind the counter tabs your friend recommended to help you sleep?? Glad you’re feeling a bit calmer.
Hope your “heads” keep at bay Lesley.
Am still having probs with not receiving posts notifications. Hope the Mod girls can finally help get to the bottom of.
Lotsa love to everyone
Delly xxxxxxxxxxx
Dizzy - Hello sweetpea. That’s good then. Hope it all now settles down and heals quickly. We’ll be waiting on that piccie :smileywink:
Lotsa love xxxxx
Delly, i wish I did have a bird cam, I’m so excited we now have a woodpecker and the blackbirds are out in force eating fallen apples. That is the tablet my friend suggested but important to check out with doc and pharmacist too, which I did. I didn’t take last night but then didn’t sleep until gone 3.30, which is disappointing. No anxious thoughts but blimey my head was flitting from one think to another! 4th counselling session via work today, so maybe she can sort me!
Wishing you all peaceful Tuesdays.
Xx
