Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Helena you are so lovely and always know the right things to say to make us all feel better whenever we need it. I want you to know we all have everything crossed for you and that you get the best possible result from your mammo xx??

Sorry Charys nor charts…stupid phone???

Helena

So are you going to be Auntie Helena?

And when is your mammogram, I know you told us but that must be a lot of pages back.

I didn’t find my mammogram last year any worse than normal, though I’m a bit nervous about this year’s because now I have two operated breasts, and the side that had the reductions was about a five inch incision, it’s definitely still a bit tender. But it’s two or three months to go yet.

You might find out from the oncologist whether the plan is now 10 years for the tamoxifen, I don’t know for me, and I don’t ever get another oncology appointment. But it’s a long way off, I’d just like to know!

Hello lovelies,  excuse me for any typos or other nonsense, but I’m exhausted!  First Charys, what a stupid woman!  Probably should excuse her on the grounds of stupidity/ignorance which should be listed as a disability, otherwise we’d just call her what she is, but we on here are ladies so we won’t.

IOW on Monday now looking very unlikely.  Himself having survived me putting a pillow over his face and finally ending the hell that is him being ill and being such a pain in the ars* and not letting me call a doctor he finally took such a turn for the worse this morning after speaking to my friend who is a nurse she advised me to call 111 immediately.  In my state if anxiety, exhaustion and frustration I repeatedly tried dialling 911before the penny dropped (been watching too many American tv shows). Long story short (ish) after a conversation with the  nurse she said she was calling an ambulance, 6 minutes later sirens, blue flashing lights and there it was, Nhs is brilliant.  Hour and a half later after many tests, repeated 3 times, they did not think heart was a problem but suspected severe lung infection complicated by disc pressing on it. After discussion with doc back at base,  Told to continue with antibiotics, take large dose of steroids for a weeks but if pain gets worse call 999 immediately…   I told them  about our trip and that he keeps on about me going without him and asked them  to tell him that I shouldn’t leave him.  They said that if he takes steroids and starts to improves within next24 hours no reason I can’t go, plus if he feels up to it he could go too.  Watch this space…

Hi lovelies, it’s been ages since I’ve popped in here, smiled when I saw your lovely banter and support. It’s 10pm here and I’ve just found a marble sized lump under my arm and I’m really panicking. Same side as my Breast cancer. Has anyone else had a lump that popped up in a couple of days? Cheers, Lee xx

Hi Lee, how lovely to hear from you again! I hope things are going well for you and your husband.

I haven’t had a problem with underarm lumps, I think it’s a problem that probably needs checking out, but I’m guessing it could easily be just a swollen gland if you have a bit of a cold, or something harmless. But it’s bound to be scary, we’re all going to worry about any lumps or pains. So I hope you can get someone to give you some reassurance.

Good evening lovely Willows and big hello to Lee.  I wonder if I’m the  only one who immediately felt under their armpits after reading your post Lee?  Sure it’s nothing ominous but best to get it checked out pdq if only to put your mind at rest, after BC enters your life I’m sure we’re all on high alert to any l7mps, and it’s best to be.

Pleased to say, paramedics second probability (first was any deterioration to dial 999 immediately)  seems to be the case.  Continuing with antibiotics started on Thursday, now accompanied by very large dose of steroids, second  dose taken first thing this morning and breathing is improving by the hour, pain lessening and so far only one spasm today (hope I havent tempted fate by saying all this) They did say if he starts improving no reason while he can’t go on our trip tomorrow as long as he takes it easy as he should continue to improve.  Case packed and ready, will keep monitoring situation, but he certainly is a better colour and has just eaten dinner so I’m feeling hopefully.

Horrible day here, grey and drizzling.  My sister tells me it’s been glorious day in Wales so I hope you’ve all got the same xx

Love and hugs to you all xxxxx

Thank you all, lovely welcome back. I’ve got a doctors appointment this morning to get it checked out. There is one big lump, very moveable and two small ones right in my armpit. I’m trying not to worry but it’s hard not too. My husband is going well. 13 months after the accident and he is walking, has a scooter to go down to the shop and is still have therapy nearly every day. Life is different but so much better than we originally were told it would be. Today we find out when the sentencing hearing will be for the guy that hit him with his car (he was on his bicycle in a 100kmph zone and the car hit him from behind). I had my lumpectomy (margins clear) and SNB (2, both clear) October 2016 then 6 weeks of radiotherapy. I started on Tamoxifen and have recently changed brands to see if I could minimise some of the side effects. So that’s the quick catch up. I’ll keep in touch and let you know how the check goes. Xx

Good luck Helena ???

Best hold on tight to those pants though they look a bit on the baggy side …

Will be in your pocket Atomorrow Helena. Loads of hugs and pinging of knicker elastic! Xxx

I love you lot xxx

Lee and Helena

Hello again Sweetiepies,

Soooo, hope you all enjoyed your Easter break hols. Coo, it’s flippin cold up here this morn and last few days, so I’m snuggling up close to you all.

Ha ha ha Rubes - Your bumless and headless bunnies pic cracked me up - bloomin priceless. And the little white cat’s the spit of my Chloe when she was young. How did you know? canny 'un you are.

Lots and lots of lovely cards and piccies. Pretty garden ones, Lady H. I too am glad your friends news was a baby.

I can’t believe how the Fluffy Magnolia’s come on Janey. I’m so sorry to hear about your stepsister. Did you pop to see your parents last weekend in Sussex? Am I right that’s where they are?

Dizzy - that’s good news on the Mac course for May then. I remember you saying such things are sparse around your area.

Charys - I thought one of your boobs was looking a bit squidged. How long do you have to wait for your results? Fingers are crossed for you, flower.

Jobey - Lovely to see you. Hope you’re well and how’s that gorgeous little Erin grandaughter of yours?

Hi Alibobs - Oops, sorry. Just read your posts ref your mammo concerns. Was only joking about Charys’ “squidged”!!

Clairee - Did you get to see your grandson over Easter?

Golly Lee - I’m sooo sorry to hear about your hubbys dreadful accident, but glad to hear he’s still progressing. I too hope the culprit gets a fitting sentence. Am very interesed to know what your lumps are.

So am I to presume Lesley and hub have sailed across to the I of W then?

Anyone heard from BethyBoo?? Hope things are going well with the you and the job, if you’re looking in.

Lotsa love to everyone

Dellywelly xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you all, beautiful support. I had the ultrasound today which was going to be compared to my March one. Two of hours later I got a phone call from the doctor’s receptionist to say doc wanted to see me this arvo or tomorrow morning … and to bring someone with me. I just burst out crying. He hadn’t got the full report just a phone call to say that they wanted a core biopsy of the irregular lymph node. I’m having mammograms tomorrow and nurse will contact me about a core biopsy under ultrasound ASAP. I’m scared. And angry. We have been through so much it just doesn’t feel fair. So after some stomping and crying I will sulk tonight then tomorrow morning will wake up strong again. One step at a time eh? Xxxx

Whoops not March, last scans done in October.
