Propolis as a mouthwash: pain relief from ulcers

I just remembered that propolis tincture can be used as a mouthwash and according to one website:

"Is Propolis good for ulcers?

Propolis has a significant anaesthetic effect which can be 3 times more powerful than cocaine (without the side effects). It has been used for centuries in the treatment of sore throats and mouth sores. To obtain relief from the irritation of mouth ulcers and to speed recovery simply add 10 drops of Propolis tincture in 100ml of water and rinse the mouth. The tincture can be swallowed. Repeat as required."

Well I thought having done 6 rounds of FEC and getting to a point where it’s too painful to actually brush my teeth I’d try it. Use warm water to make it dissolve by the way and yes it is supposed to go white and milky…

Pain relief bliss.

Just thought I’d share in case anyone else is getting desperate and refuses to use those steroid mouthwashes (like chemo patients haven’t had enough of them).

It does help heal the ulcers too.
