I had my first injection this week and blimey my legs feel painful and heavy and I feel v tired and fluey. I’m taking paracetamol but the burning in my legs isn’t good. Anyone else had this injection and had side effects?
I used to have prostap injections firstly every month, then every 3 months, but I don’t remember getting any side effects (not the most helpful answer, sorry!).
I did get tired and had joint pains from the letrozole which I also had though.
The nurses here on the helpline might have some good advice, worth a phone call.
I hope it gets better soon!

Oh no. I’ve got my first injection tomorrow
. Only just getting over the joint pain from paclitaxel. I also started exemestane tablets today and side effects look similar.
Hope it eases quickly for you and isn’t a regular thing. Good luck.x
Call your hospital for advice.
Cancer treatment can cause many side effects and achy flu symptoms can be some of the most common symptoms.
Ask your oncologist for more information if you get nowhere with the hospital.
Good luck
Hey, how are you getting on with prostap now? Hope you’re feeling better before the next one is due.
I’ve started exemestane and prostap in the last few weeks and think its going well. My legs still get achy but I don’t know that I’d fully recovered from the paclitaxel chemo.
Finished radiotherapy last week and unfortunately developed a kidney infection (probably unrelated) but got antibiotics and feeling better already.
Take care x
Hi there I’m due my 2nd next week, after the first one I felt fluey for a couple of days then ok. Today I had my 2nd radio and finish on 22 sept. Good to hear you’re ok. Do you have any other meds to take? X
