Prostap: Monthly/3 monthly?

Hi, I’m having numerous issues, I have been for two years, and my Oncologist has suggested that some women find Prostap 3 monthly is better than monthly (incase anyone’s wondering it wasn’t licensed for BC three monthly; but current research shows it’s just as good, so it can be used for BC now). I wondered if anyone has had any luck in using it three monthly? My current issues are depression and low mood, headaches and dizziness, joint aches and weight gain. Thanks.

I had monthly prostap for the first few to make sure I coped ok before the 3 monthly injection. I’ve just had the 3 monthly and don’t notice a difference in side effects as such but I don’t have the intense run down feeling I have every month after the injection so that’s been a positive for me. If you’re oncologist is recommending it with more contact with lots of women, it’s probably worth a go. I’ve found yoga and acupuncture also helps

You know, until you speak/hear from other people going through it you feel you are in this dark cloud of the unknown.

I’m coming up 5 years now and still having the Prostop injections. Like the previous person I started on monthly injections but changed to 3 months when my GP didn’t have the monthly in stock. Yes it is just the same but slower releasing. Just for convenience, I have found it so much easier…why have three jabs when you can have one!

You don’t connect the side affects but I’ve also noticed my mood has changed as it comes up to when im due my injection. I hadnt really thought about it too much with headaches, joint aches and mood…but we have been put into chemically induced menopause.
