Hi Coleen
It’s Emily here from Breast Cancer Care.
While you’re waiting for replies on here, I just thought I’d let you know that one of our email volunteers Pearl chose not to have a reconstruction, and has worn a prosthesis for many years. You’d be welcome to email her for some tips and suggestions: pearl@breastcancercare.org.uk
You might also find a few more people in your situation in the ‘Surgery’ part of the Forum, here: forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/t5/Surgery/bd-p/4445
Best wishes
Emily at Breast Cancer Care
Definitely wear prothesis. Make sure you have well fitting bra. I call it my body armour but so so comfortable and natural looking. Go for it. Iris?
