I was issued with my heavy Amoena protheses last December when I had healed from Radiotherapy. I have not been that happy with them and thought I would purchase either their Contact boobs or Anita’s Vario System as the Hospital won’t replace them within 3 years. I priced up both and was quoted £200 each (I need two)for my choice, the Varios! Out of my league. I happened to speak to my Breast Care Nurse and mentioned this and she said they could get them for me for £78. each. I had an appointment with my BCN and the Company Rep to be fitted properly, and wonderful, I now have my new lighter, stick on or not boobs. So girls before you go to one of the companies selling prosthesis have a word with your BCN, the Hospital may be able to obtain them for you cheaper.

Thanks for that Nonny, I’m wearing an Amoena Natura, and I’m sort of happy with it, but did wonder if I could get a lighter one. I’ll look into the Anita vario.
