Sorry to hear about your symptoms. Have you been given any creams to apply? Iโ€™ve just had one week of radiotherapy and 2 more to go. I was given flamigel cream to start applying from day 1.

@kirsty1 did you have surgery? Is the RT near any scar tissue? It might be chording that is causing tightness. Have a chat with your BCN about it.

No wasnโ€™t given any creams its not really sore all the time if that makes sense?? Ive just been using a normal unscented cream, its just the shooting pains when I cough and aches ive been getting that is bothering me more :see_no_evil_monkey: i have two more blasts Monday and Tuesday and then im done

Hi Kirsty,

Iโ€™m not medically qualified, but I had similar pain and was told that radiotherapy can damage other tissues, such as the cartilage between your ribs, which might explain the pain when coughing or sneezing as your lungs and therefore ribs expand/contract.

The radiotherapy team will hopefully be able to confirm this, but I donโ€™t think there is much you can do about it, though it should get better over time :crossed_fingers:t2:

Hope the rest of your treatment goes well.
