Radiotherapy and breast implants - possibility of capsular contracture

Hello, 

I’m new to the Forum. I had 2 lumpectomies in my left breast in August to remove Invasive Ductal Cancer. The op was a success and I was told that the margins and the 4 lymph nodes were clear. I will be having radiotherapy in a few weeks time but am very worried about the possibility of capsular contracture on my breast implant (that I’ve had since 2004). I have been told that there is a 15% risk of encapsulation. Has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with this type of situation?

How did your treatment go? Did you have capsular contraction?
