Radiotherapy help

Just sharing a photo of the gel I’ve just been given by one of the breast care nurses as it might help some of you. I’ve been really struggling with pain in my breast after radiotherapy and this gel really helped. I wasn’t given this until a few days ago despite finishing radiotherapy in March and I wish I’d have known about it sooner so thought I’d share in case anyone else isn’t given this straight away. Lots of love to you all xx

Thank you for that. I finished my radiotherapy in January and still having pain. I have been using paracetamol and ibuprofen gel which only offers some relief. I have seen a physio but just been given more exercises. I spoke to the breast care nurses some months ago nd no offer of this gel.

I may ring the radiotherapy department as it’s been nearly 6 months. Maybe this gel may help me.

You’re very welcome. As amazing as the breast care nurses have been, I’m a little annoyed that it’s taken this long for them to give me this stuff! I would have happily paid for it if needed and I’ve been really worried about the pain in my breast for a long time as it’s so triggering and just reminds me of how breast pain first alerted me to get checked out and was then diagnosed with breast cancer. Hope it helps xx

Hi everyone, I had radiotherapy last year and I was fortunate enough to be given this st the time. It was brilliant. It is expensive but you can buy it (£40.ish) a tube😮. I wish you well.
