Hi Sandpiper
i had my surgery (mastectomy) mid August and saw the consultant last week. I am now waiting for my radiotherapy planning appointment. I am waiting for my GP practice to get back to me on when I can start Zoladex and a month later Letrozole, both of which will put me into menopause. A couple of months after I will be having bisphosphanate infusions to prevent bone cancer.
Have you had any side effects with letrozole? I’m staying off work at least until Christmas to get my head around it all. I still feel like it has not happened to me and I don’t feel right in myself x
Hi I had surgery x2 In July, lumpectomy then auxiliary clearance. Been on Letrozole for a month, apart from few hot flushes so far ok. Going on holiday to Crete for 2 weeks an early retirement present to myself! Then going for DEXA scan and 15 radiotherapy sessions starting 21st Oct, have my Aveeno cream ready!

Hi, I also had surgery in July and am starting radiotherapy this Thursday 10th for 15 sessions .
Yes, I think that I am at a similar stage as I start radiotherapy on 31st October. I am ready with my tattoos and trying to get as fit as I can before that happens. I had been feeling very tired because in addition to the lumpectomy and then the cavitectomy, I went from HRT patches to Letrozole in almost one go. The result was sweats several times a night leaving me tired in the morning. I am now cycling and swimming every day and feel a lot better and less tired. I am interested to know how other people are dealing with the effects of Letrozole… Claire
Hi everyone finished chemo July surgery in August starting my rads on the 23rd October x
Hi I start next week 15 days. on Tamoxifen started that on 18.9.
not going to lie . from being told you have cancer you are on confer belt. from appointments, operation but now the time between and radiotherapy do feel alone.
Hope you ok. we are fighters and are going to get through it.
Hi all!
I started radiotherapy yesterday, having had a partial mastectomy and breast reduction in August. I started Letrozol at the start of July in order to be able to delay the surgery until after my son’s wedding so I have now been taking this for almost 4 months.
I have recently started to get pains in my feet and hand joints in particular which is annoying as do far it’s not been too bad apart from some tiredness and lots of hot flushes.
I have only had two sessions of rads but my boob is sore! Not the skin but stabbing pains all over…
I wasn’t expecting to notice anything so a bit of a downer really.
anyone else had the same??
