Hi  I had my surgery mid February 2024, radiotherapy started towards the end of April for 3 weeks. I did have appointments in between, like the CT mapping where you will get your dots tattooed. There was a very long waitlist at my hospital too. I hope you’re not waiting too long and it goes by quickly! Wishing you all the best

12 weeks I waited! I was unable to find a definitive time scale, but many resources tend to suggest it should be about 8 weeks. It depends on your health board. I was informed radiotherapy slows down the healing process, hence they wait a minimum period before starting treatment. I was concerned about the extended wait, but was reassured it was OK.

Thankyou both for replies its just the not knowing. I have to wait till the 7th for my next appointment and presumably a plan moving forward.

Hi. I had mine back in 2022 I waited 10 weeks which apparently was quite good. I had a planning meeting and they said it would start the following week. So it happened all of a sudden

I had a lumpectomy in June 22, followed by 5 radiotherapy sessions in September.
