I’ve just finished 4 weeks of rads including 1 week of boosters. My boob is now hard and swollen - is this normal? Women I’ve spoken to here have had a mastectomy so I can’t as them and as you can imagine it is driving me insane thinking the worst. Please can anybody share information with me.

Just thought I would drop you a note to say that what you are experiencing with your boob being hard and swollen is normal. However be aware that there can be some bad reactions to fair skinned people having radiotherapy. I am fair skinned and now my boob is permanently swollen inside and out so therefore I cant check mine for lumps.
However if you have any queries with regards to your situation you could always ask you Breast Care Nurse or your Oncologist, they may be able to help you with treatments to make life easier for you. Keep using the creams that they recommend though, it will help keep the breast soft and supple.
