Just a quick note for those also attending in Soton that there is free 2 hr street parking in Laundry Rd (plenty available). Head for the Tremona Rd end of the street then it’s a quick flit through the staff carpark (around the corner). About 3-4 mins walk, no parking queues to make you late, no charges and real footpaths to walk on.

Kind regards

hi, ive just finished my rad treatment at the fab southampton general hospital. You can park at the oncology entrance of the hospital at the back. i parked on the road just outside.its so much easier than parking in the busy main car park and the 15min walk down to the radiotherapy dept. I would love to hear from anyone local having treatments.Good luck.
i too had radio at Southampton and did what Mousy did on some occasions. I found the whole experience there actually OK. Suthampton is indeed a centre of excellence and I understand that the cancer ward is being extended to have even more rooms a floor above where it is now. I have used there emergency treatment number when I developed a blood clot and was treated with great care and as an urgent case - and this was New Years Day!!!
