Rage - is this rads, Tamox, the full moon or just me?

Dear Ladies
I have been SOOO irritable, cranky and experiencing a tightness across my head like the worst type of PMT for the last week. My DH has been incredibly patient as he has been snapped at for rather minor misdemeanours!! It came to a head with me shouting at my DS (who was being a little pup as is his darling wont) and then bursting into tears - Supernanny would NOT have been impressed.
I’m into the last 5 of 23 rads and have been on Tamox for a month. Is it likely to be the rads or the Tamox or a combination of both? If it’s an SE of Tamox I need to find another way to deal with it as never mind five years I’ll be family and friend less within five weeks.
I’ve been upping exercise (also in part to combat my ‘cure cancer with cake’ approach) and swimming has helped as well as walking. I’ve now just seen the thread that I shouldn’t be swimming with rads - oops.
Have any of you any nuggets to share (aside from counting to ten or emigrating?).
Thank you

Your allowed to be cranky and grumpy… Give yourself a break you have been through and are still going through a shitty time… Apologise o your family but tell them your still gonna be a moany moo for a little bit longer.

A lot of people blame every symptom on medication but I have been on tamoxifen on and off since 2996 and I’m actually more of grumpy moo when I’m not on than when I am… I don’t think there is any specific note of crankiness being a side effect however hormones do play a lot on our emotions so it could well be causing you a bit of additional annoyance… But it could just be the fact that emotionally and physically you have been on one hell of a journey and fir many BC patients it’s actually the end of treatment which causes the most upset and grief as the hospital contact ends and you are then left to get on with your life for a yea until you are due for review… That can be a scary time… If you feel your having problems you can phob the bcc helpline or many BC units have counsellors and psychologist you can speak to about your concerns.

Take care

Thank you Lulu. I think I’ll try a post rad nap as well as I’m not sleeping at night due to achy joints which I’m guessing will settle down eventually. Thank you for your lovely note
