Re Bras

Continuing the discussion from [I’m a Bra Fitter and Need Your Help!](https://forum.breastcancernow.or

Just to add that, having had a double mastectomy, even the specialist bras with pockets each side for prostheses were virtually unwearable. With no flesh to “anchor” it, the band beneath the cups just kept riding upwards so I’d find the whole thing approaching my neck and appearing out of the front of my tops/dresses! So I don’t bother with anything most of the time now, occasionally wearing a padded crop top I can find in chain-stores.
Also, being tall and a size 20/22, I found some of the better known specialist suppliers simply don’t do post-mastectomy swimwear etc in big enough sizes. So I just wear an ordinary one and ignore the flat top!

I am in a similar position to you, a size 22 and can sympathise as so many bras end up around your chin ! Even with silicone prothesis.
I am considering a reconstruction DIEP but am very scared about the op being a bigger lady too and having lymphodema, however living with the constant worry about whats appearing out of the top of my blouse or dress is awful and stressful too.
I have not been able to wear so many of my clothes
I love swimming and actually found ASDA George had swimwear sizes up to 22 which fitted me well and were really good value.

Good luck
