Pieces of invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3 with large tumor embolus in lymphatic vessels.Mild perineoplasmatic inflammatory inffiltrate
Also Paget’s disease large claer tumor cells with a typical nucliei are seen within the epidermis concentratedalong the basal layer and also permeating layer. Lymphocytic inflammatory infiltrate.
I need to explain I live in Cyprus and the specailist who was convinced it was Paget’s disease before the biopsy and he said the treatment would still be the same- chemo, masectomy and radotherapy.
Has anyone had anything similar? I can’t satrt chemo yet as when he took my stitches out today he said I had an infection which wasn’t a nice experience. As he took out the last stitch the pus flooded out, he continued to squeeze it until mos t of it was out and said I should now feel more comfortable as I was very swollen. Now I am terrified to move too much. Going back on Mon to get it checked out and see if I can start chemo next week. Does anyone will it be every 2 or 3 weeks for this cance sort?
Hi rosie14
It sounds like you’re having a pretty tough time at the moment. I’m sure some of the other users will be a long soon to offer you their experiences and support. In the mean time you might find it helpful to talk things through with a member of staff on the helpline. Here you can share your concerns with someone who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information.
The number to call is 0808 800 6000 and lines are open Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.
Best wishes Sam, BCC Facilitator
Hi Rosie
So sorry to hear of your experience. I hope your infection clears soon so you can begin chemo. In England, most chemo regimes for primary breast cancer of any type are every 3 weeks subject to a blood test before each treatment. This is to check that your white and red blood cells are back to normal, The white ones are part of your immune system, and if they are too low, the next treatment will have to be delayed for a week. I would imagine things would be the same in Cyprus.
Best wishes
