Hi there. This topic has cropped up on one or two pages this week and I have been desperately seeking this article I read a number of years ago. I finally found it.
It is really helpful and worth pulling up a chair and making a cup of tea to read and digest. It may also be helpful to share with friends and family.
Thanks for sharing. I have also shared with my husband who has been brilliant since my diagnosis and chemotherapy which I finished today. Although my friends have been supportive I get the feeling that now that I’ve finished the chemotherapy they think that it’s all over now and I just have 2 weeks of radiotherapy to go. I’m probably guilty of almost underplaying the side effects but now having shared this article with my husband I think that he now understands better that I should take some time to recover better and will help me reign in my friends expectations without giving them all the gory details of the last few months.
This is a great article and says it all and good to reread. It was recommended for us to read during the Moving Forwards course which I found very helpful as a whole but many of you who have replied to this are probably not at the stage to be offered that yet and I think it’s important to have resources which can help explain to you and others how you might be feeling and why when you maybe can’t explain it yourself . Well done @Jaygo xx
