I’ve got a lump in my breast and it’s not a cyst. They had to take a biopsy yesterday. I’m just wondering if anyone experienced weight loss and their periods became irregular. I’ve always been like clockwork but alately it’s all wrong. I’ve lost weight which is something Ive always struggled with and now I’ve got this lump too. Just wondering if this is all connected.

I did not experience weight loss before diagnosis, which came after recall from a routine mammogram. For me Worry came after that and it is really draining and maybe in itself brings weight loss. Everybody who has cancer has worry, but not everybody who has worry has cancer. I just want you to know that whatever the the cause, people on these forums can recognise the tough time you are having, and are willing you through!
In case it might help, here’s a virtual hug from somebody feeling not bad today, 2 years down the line after finishing treatment. My feeling is that worry is harder to cope with.

Thanks for taking time to reply to me. Id just like to let you know my results came back as a fibroadenoma. Ive still more tests to go through to find out about why im losing weight and my why periods are irregular all of sudden but im not as worried anymore…I’m so relieved but at the same time it’s opened my eyes as to what people go through.
