recent diagnosis of dcis/invasive ductal/grade 2. experiencing lots of lower back and hip pain.

Hi there, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer on right side. Dcis/invasive ductal - just under 5cm. Awaiting ct scan. Bit worried though as for some months have been experiencing lots of pain in lower back, hips (esp right side) right knee and knuckles of both hands. I’ve noticed this seems to be a common symptom of bc sufferers??

Hi Herbivore - sorry to hear of your diagnosis. It’s interesting to hear of your joint pain. I had a couple of flu-like episodes with lots of joint/bone pain in the weeks leading up to my diagnosis and in the days between tests and diagnosis I developed incredibly painful finger joints with white lumps. I thought it was some sort of arthritis flare-up but it settled down. I also had a lot of joint pain a couple of years prior to diagnosis when I had lyme disease.

Is your bc hormone or HER2 receptive or triple negative?

I hope your CT results are good. Let us know how you get on.
