New to this new life I have taken on at the very begining of the long road unknowing and frightened but feeling very positive and want to be in control. Came about after discovering bump on forehead. Now on Exemstane and had first injectin of Denosunab as yet have no pain and no side effects will be starting Everolimus (Afinitor) after the 23rd November. Just wondering if one of you can give me some ideas of how you are coping with this medication and how well is it working for you.

I will welcome you as I’m also a secondary lady and first of all sorry to hear your news …it’s like being hit by a bus when u get the news but once the treatment plan is sorted …it becomes a new way of life.
I would highly recommend that u join us on the secondary threads …it’s on the main menu " living with secondary bc" then if you go into treatments options there is a active thread on exme stance and evoremus affinator as there are lots of ladies here either on it or been on it and they can offer huge support on any side effects you might get.
So please join us …we also have a thread called "bone mets …please join in " on living with breast cancer …it’s a very busy thread and you can always be sure of getting some kindness and banter there.
In the meantime …please look around the forum as there are so many threads which will help you.

You are never alone as there is always someone here that will reply to you … please post as and when if you feel the need. …we feel your pain and I’m 2 years into secondaries now and 13 years since primary so know how you feel. …I’m still on letrozole which is doing a brilliant job at controlling the mets in my bones. .
