I was diagnosed with 5 cm DCIS in November. I had a lumpectomy a week later. Unfortunately 2 mm of IDC found so had a further lumpectomy to clear the margins and biopsy the sentinel nodes. That was over 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for pathology results. The area found is HER2 + and ER + . I am finding it hard to concentrate on anything as I am anxious about my results. I don’t have a treatment plan and don’t really know what will happen next.
Suziq2468 sorry to hear you’ve not received your pathology results or your treatment plan yet. Were you given a breast cancer nurse to call by your team at time of diagnosis? If so please contact them to see what’s happening with your plan. Also ring your consultant or surgeons secretaries, the secretaries are usually extremely helpful and supportive if you ask if they can ask your consultant or surgeon if there is any news and what’s happening next. The delay might be they are discussing at mdt meeting. Please do use the number on here too if you can and speak to a nurse or use the ask the nurse section on here I’m sure others will pop on this thread to you with some help too
