recently diagnosed

hi im 34 from leicester…first time ive posted on here…3 weeks ago i was diagnosed with loplar cancer…would like to talk to anyone who has had it…or just anyone x

Hello telle.

I’m not sure what loplar cancer is - there seem to be so many variations.

I am 48 and was diagnosed in December.  I have a single 5cm tumour in my left breast with infected lymph nodes in my armpit. It’s all happened so quickly - I know it is grade 3, but still don’t have a stage or full diagnosis as some results have not yet been confirmed.

What is your plan of action?

I am having my third dose of chemotherapy today. My first dose was just 11 days after diagnosis. I have to have a mastectomy, radiotherapy and reconstruction surgery later, so my treatment is mapped out into 2015.

Hi telle,

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis.  Do you mean lobular? This is one of the common forms of breast cancer, but is more common in ladies who are older than you, so not sure.  I’m sure that someone more knowledgeable can give you advice, but keep posting for whatever support you need. Xx

hi thanks for your replys…yes i did mean lobular…i have my lumpectomy pencilled in for next thursday…but after my mri on tuesday, they say they have found something else in my breast…i am booked in for more tests on friday…depending on the outcome the op may not go ahead…i am in limbo a bit at the moment…always seem to be waiting x

Hi do you. Mean lobular cancer?in which case I have that too. I have a large diffuse tumour and an having chemo first to decrease its size before surgery I’m hating the chemo but I have chemo2 FEC tomorrow phew
What treatment are you having?

hi all…yes i did mean this friday…im a bit unsure of wat grade…how big etc…im very new to all this but learning all the time…i know i definitely have a large lump in my left breast…and something else suspicious x

hi…went on friday for ultrasound…they couldnt find it,so no biopsy yippee…they say they will take a little more during the lumpectomy…op is still booked for thurs pending seeing consultant on tuesday…so hopefully the ball will start rolling next week x

hi i am positive at the minute…but still know there is a long road ahead…getting nervous about radiotherapy an chemo though x
